COVID-19 and the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo
The Hunting Expo has been working closely with the Utah Governor Gary Herbert, the Utah State Health Department, and the Salt Palace Convention Center planning for a maximum number of exhibitors and attendees allowed under COVID-19 conditions. We are planning for conditions that will allow the show to look, feel and operate largely as “business as usual”.
The health and safety of our attendees and exhibitors is our highest priority. Facemasks are likely to be mandatory. Please plan on bringing and wearing yours.
Plans also include:
- monitoring total number of attendees within the exhibit hall at all times and managing attendee access to the exhibit hall according to limits set by state and local health departments
- maintaining multiple sanitizing stations throughout the venue, and,
- regular and thorough cleaning of public restrooms and common areas
COVID-19 conditions can change. We are keeping abreast of developments and health department mandates/changes in the state of Utah and within Salt Lake County where the event takes place. We are encouraged by recent medical industry progress toward a vaccine and progress states are making toward normalizing economic, travel, and other activities. We will provide updates as often as necessary as we move toward Winter 2020-2021 and into the Hunting Expo early next year.
