COVID-19 and the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo

The Western Hunting & Conservation Expo (WHCE) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all 2022 Expo participants and attendees. We are working with the Salt Palace Convention Center on implementing preventive measures to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus. Our decisions and preventive measures will be guided by the recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and federal, state and local health authorities.

  • At the present time, there are no mandates or restrictions that preclude us from holding the event or limiting attendance. However, we ask that participants and attendees comply with the guidelines set forth by state and local authorities as well as the CDC guidance.
  • Face coverings are not required by the WHCE, but are encouraged, as recommended by the CDC for indoor settings.
  • Please do not attend if you are feeling sick or are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.
  • Take every opportunity to wash your hands. Washing hands frequently helps reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
  • The Salt Palace Convention Center has prioritized health and safety measures including attaining the Global Biorisk Advisory Council STAR facility accreditation.
  • Hand Sanitizing stations are located throughout the Salt Palace facility.
  • Please be courteous to your fellow attendees, every individual circumstance is different.

These precautions are important, but these efforts cannot eliminate the potential for exposure to COVID-19 or any other illness while participating in any event. Participants and attendees must evaluate their unique circumstances and make an informed decision before attending events. Please acknowledge and understand that you are knowingly and freely assuming all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, by attending the Hunt Expo.
